Counseling Info

All of us have problems when dealing with the normal stresses and strains of daily living.  Consequently, there are times when we could benefit from talking with a trained counselor about our concerns.

We are pleased to provide such help when it is desired by those who attend Journey as well as others in the community (e.g., families with children who attend Ready, Set, Go! Preschool, Pioneer Girls, Boy Scouts, Stockade, and Tree Climbers.)

Additionally, counseling is available to anyone with a need regardless of whether or not they attend Journey Christian Church.

Types of Concerns

Counseling is designed to provide services to individuals, couples, families, and children.  The following are examples of types of situations that may lead to counseling:

  • Parents who have questions about their child or their parenting methods.
  • Children of all ages, including preschoolers and their families who experience frequent problems in daily living.
  • Individuals with spiritual life concerns.
  • Couples or families who are experienceing stress in their relationship(s).
  • Couples or families facing divorce.
  • Children and adolescents who are having difficulties in school and/or in the family.
  • Individuals who would like to overcome bothersome behaviors or habits.
