Our “Life Together” Approach
At
Journey, we desire to be a church where every person is connected, loved, challenged, and equipped. We desire to be the body of Christ
as He intended it to be – many parts forming one body, as Paul described in I
Corinthians 12:12-26.
We are convinced that being an active part of a small group is the best way to
fulfill this vision, and to live out the ‘one another’ commands the Lord gives
us in Scripture…be devoted to one another, honor one another, love one
another, accept one another, encourage one another, serve one another, and be
kind and compassionate to one another.
Our Life Together Groups
Groups of 10 to 20 people meet together regularly (at least twice a month) for a common purpose: progressing toward fuller devotion to Christ. That progress is guided by the Holy Spirit through leaders who intentionally nurture an environment of mutual care, increasing intimacy, Biblical community, and joyful service.
Group time is not tightly structured. We try to be open to the Holy Spirit and the needs of the group. Typical meetings include Bible Study, prayer, sharing life together, and having fun.
For information about groups that are currently offered, please contact the church office.
