Ready, Set, Go! Preschool
Ready, Set, Go

Ready, Set, Go! Preschool has been teaching 3, 4 and 5 year olds since 1985. There are three classes available: a 4 year old class which meets on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (9:00 – 11:30am) and two 3 year old classes which meet on Tuesday and Thursday (9:00 – 11:15am or 12:15 – 2:30pm). Each class has 18-20 students with 2 teachers. When doing special programs, 3 teachers are present.

The teachers are Mrs. Lin Lohman, who has taught at Ready, Set, Go! since 1986; Mrs. Cheryl Greene, who has taught here since 1990; and Mrs. Sue Britton who has been with us since 2004. Mrs. Greene is a permanently certified (N-6) elementary school teacher.

The curriculum is based on monthly units. All the crafts, stories, songs and activities correlate with the unit theme. Kindergarten readiness activities include name recognition, phone number, address, birthdate, numbers, letters and letter sounds, shapes, colors, pencil and scissor skills. A monthly calendar is sent home explaining the unit theme, readiness skill covered and daily information. A movement program is incorporated into the curriculum. This involves age appropriate games and activities done in our upstairs gym.

We do special programs at Ready, Set, Go! In October we have a Harvest Party, at Christmas a play and party, in March we have Spring Olympics and in May is graduation and year end celebrations. Parents, relatives and friends are invited to all of these events.

We also go on field trips. Past trips have included Green Acres farm, Wegmans, the zoo, and Springdale Farm.

Our daily schedule includes: playtime/pickup; calendar, pledge, poems; readiness activity; bathroom/snack; songs; craft; movement/show and tell.

A written progress report is sent home for each child in January. This consists of social/emotional and speech/language development. Teacher comments are also included. For the children going on to kindergarten, kindergarten screening is done in April, with a written report sent home in May.

Tuition information is available on the registration form or brochure. If you have further questions, we can be reached at 865-5505 or you can email us at ReadySetGo
