At Journey we value families, and try to support families in their growth. Here are some of the events that Children’s Ministry sponsors.
- Teddy Bear Breakfast – This is a time where parents and children (before entering kindergarten), come together for a pancake breakfast. The children bring their teddy bears, and the parents bring questions or suggestions on parenting. After breakfast the children go to another area for a time of supervised play, while the parents have a time of sharing and encouraging one another on parenting.
- Family Connections – This is a time where parents and children (kindergarten through 6th grade) come together after the Worship Gathering for a lunch. Following the lunch the children are in a separate supervised area, and the parents will have a time to share and ask questions about parenting.
- Retiree’s Breakfast –This morning, the retirees from our church are invited to join us for breakfast. The children serve the retirees breakfast, and the Children’s Choir will sing. Following this, the children and retirees have time to spend together, so that the children can learn from an older generation.
